GUIDE TO MANUSCRIPT WRITING

1. Manuscripts are typed in MS Word, using Arial, single-spaced. Length: 7–15 pages, A4, margins: Left & Right 3 cm, Top 6 cm, Bottom 4 cm.
2. Figures or tables must be in JPEG format
3. Title, Author, and Abstract are written in one column; the main text uses two columns
4. The accompanying manuscripts and illustrations are the publisher's legal property and are not allowed to be published in other publications other than the publisher's permission. Manuscripts can be edited by editors if needed without changing the meaning of the contents

Systematics of Writing Research Results
Manuscripts of research results are presented in a systematic manner as follows:
a. Title
b. Abstract
c. Introduction
d. Materials and Methods
e. Results
f. Discussion (and conclusions in the end of paragraph)
g. Refference

1. TITLE:
a. Written in English, Arial 17.5, bold, single-spaced.
b. Must describe the content clearly and concisely.
c. Include 10-15 words (no more than 15 words).

2. AUTHOR:
a. The Author names (without academic titles) written in Arial 10, bold, format: Last name, First name.
Example: Prananingrum Widyasri*, Damaiyanti D W**, Pargaputri A F**
b. Institutional affiliation written in Arial 10 pt.
Example:
*Department of Biomedic, Dentistry Faculty, Universitas Hang Tuah Surabaya, Indonesia
**Department of Dental Material, Dentistry Faculty, Universitas Hang Tuah Surabaya, Indonesia

3. ABSTRACT (Arial is large, thick, font 10 pt) :
a. Written in English Not more than 250 words.
b. Using the letters Arial size 10 in one paragraph, single-spaced.
c. Contains: Background, Objective, Method, Result, Conclusion.
d. Include 3-5 keywords and correspondence containing names, institutions, addresses, telephone numbers, and faxes and e-mail using Arial letters, size 10 pt.

4. CONTENT: (Using the Arial letters size 11, space 1)
a. Introduction includes background, problem formulation and writing objectives.
b. Materials and methods include materials and tools used, time, place, design, and procedures for conducting research.
c. The results are stated clearly and if necessary are equipped with tables, llustrations, and photographs which are numbered consecutively in the text. The table title is written on it. Caption is given below.
d. The discussion explains the results of the study as reading the problem, associated with previous research and the possibility of its development. Conclusions which are the final part of the writing that shows the answers to the objectives stated in the introduction.

5. REFFERENCE :

a. The bibliography contains information about the source of the library that has been referred to in the body of the writing.

b. For each library referred to in the text, it must appear in the bibliography, and vice versa, every library that appears in the bibliography must have been referred to in the body of the text.

c. Reference to the last 5-10 years

d. Bibliography of at least 20 sources of literature

c. Format of reference library in manuscripts arranged according to numbers in sequence from the first name out in the refference, following the Vancouver (Superscript).

d. Examples of Vancouver literature writing are:

Literature review:
Background, Objective, Literature Study, Discussion, Conclusion.
d. Include 3-5 keywords and correspondence containing names, institutions, addresses, telephone numbers, and faxes and e-mail using Arial letters, size 10.

4. CONTENT: (Using the Arial letters size 11, single-spaced)
a. Introduction includes background, problem formulation and writing objectives.
b. The subtitles contain subtopics of literature studies and the discussion is tailored to the needs.
c. Discussion is a summary of information obtained in the case and possible development for the same field. Conclusions are written at the end of the text to sharpen the intent and purpose of writing.

a. The bibliography contains information about the source of the library that has been referred to in the body of the writing.

5. CONTENT: (Using the Arial letters size 11, space 1)
a. Introduction includes background, problem formulation and writing objectives.
b. The case is an explanation of the case which includes anamnesis, clinical examination both extra oral and intra oral, investigation, and diagnosis.
c. Case management clearly explains the management procedures performed on the patient.
d. Discussion is a summary of information obtained in the case and possible development for the same field. The conclusion is written at the end of the text to sharpen the intent and purpose of the case review.
e. Acknowledgement written if indeed there are parties who have helped in the activities carried out, then thank you can be conveyed here placed at the end of the text before the refference.

6. REFFERENCE :
